Country Sustainability Ranking
The Country Sustainability Ranking is a method of evaluating and comparing the sustainability performance of different countries based on a range of environmental, social, and economic factors. These rankings aim to provide insights into how well countries are addressing sustainability challenges and progressing towards more sustainable development pathways. Although different methodologies are used by different organizations in these rankings, there are common criteria used in each factor:
- Environmental factor: GHG gases, air and water quality, biodiversity conservation efforts, renewable energy adoption, waste management practices, natural resources management.
- Social factor: human rights, access to healthcare and education, gender equality, labor rights, poverty rates, social inclusion.
- Economic factor: GDP per capita, income inequality, unemployment rates, innovation and technology adoption, infrastructure development, economic resilience.
